This is an hour-long conversational interview I recently did on the on Marcus Zilz’s ‘Mount Wobble’ show on the experimental Cashmere Radio (Berlin) where I blabbed about 20 years of s&S Radio, life experiences including the Bay Area years, the decade and a half in the peripheries of China, the recent shift to the bottom of the world + ‘this & that’ – with s&S Radio sounds and noodles playing in the background throughout. Have a listen !

The BIG question remains;
Will there be more shaving chimps or other fuzzy animals in the near or present future, on the show?

@nakedman Yes well… that’s the plan! We haven’t been immune to the current worldwide supply chain problems though. The SS Simian Clipper, with precious station bound cargo pegged specifically for that purpose has been stuck out at sea for months. I hear it’s quite a raucous party on board these days though. :)

I found your station in Dali Yunnan China. It’s very enjoyable, my cat handsome boy and I listen to it in our opium den.

One think I wish was a little more info on how (or why) shirley & Spinoza was chosen as the station name? Good to hear SOME of the reasons behind moving to China for so long.

Interesting that you were near the Shouzhu river. Location of a favoite Chinise movie of mine by the same name. You should post some pics.

I spent a few years running a LP pirate TV/Radio station. The change to digital made me give up, because nobody coulod see my analog transmitter anymore. Now ive since gone legit and got licensed. so no more fun for me. However you still awaken that urge in me. But these days id have no audience with everyone getting their media online now. Oh well. I miss the fun.

I LOVE YOUR SHOW! Please re-start your broadcasts. I wish I could find some of the sources for your content. Sadly too broke to donate. Im just a poor boy in a shack in the woods near a Federal Park. Please be around for many more years.

A shame this wasnt on shortwave, there are still stations like WBCQ that will air you cheaply, but you would need to format to fit time blocks.
