this was part of a series of live-link experiments – wherein the Bleakhouse studio would send a live stream direct to the S&S studio, run through the board, then get relayed in real time out to you. Unfortunately, there were several connection glitches that had me covering most of the time – and I consequenty failed to document most of this set of Bevin’s selections

BUT……While she was remotely playing her favorite tracks for us, an unrelated birthday party was also occuring here in the catacombs as well – featuring drunk jazz guys, drunk jazz gals, and lots of ping pong. Luckily, I’d hidden a pair of binaural microphones in a house-plant beforehand, so we were able to open up a little voyeuristic party-sound window from time to time. Trust you enjoyed the best of 3 worlds, one and a half, or whatever

consider this your weak little consolation prize for my ineptitude.

Oooo..<*)))-{ The device sat in the study of a wealthy aristocrat, while late at night the cook would haul it downstairs and perform a midnight symphony of kitchenware. You recall the scene in star wars inside the big Jawa recycling mobile – where droids and droid parts crunched & clattered? This wasn’t much different….just moodier. Another chapter revealed the whirring and chirping of reposessed sound gathering devices – held captive – en route to the next ROGC show in the year 1905
