Here you’ll find the unedited archived recordings of past LIVE s&S Radio webcasts – just as they occured on the dates listed in the posts….(well, mostly – i do admit to simply snipping out missed cues & dead air and the like.) Many of these weekly Sunday shows featured live mixes of music, sounds and performances originally beamed direct from our former Oakland home at ‘Compound-Eye’ – the bulk of which happened in 2005-2006. In time, I’ll add more to the archive from earlier live show recordings – 2002 was a good year too before a hiatus preceding most of the material currently represented here, as were a good many (no, that’s TONS) in the late 90′s on Free Radio Berkeley. In addition to LIVE radio shows, there are also a few pre-made shows by associates abroad that we were very honored to air.
Quite literally, there are days if not weeks worth of constant and more importantly, portable listening here at the moment…. with lots more to come! So mozey down a road, download or stream, lock yourself in a tool shed with your aluminum foil helmet/mp3 player…and enjoy!
Please leave a comment (love notes or juicy threats preferred) if anything grabs your fancy. Or drop an email via the CONTACT page.
Among these presentations: collage, noise, experiments, thriftcore music and found sounds, concepts a go-go and earloads of wide swinging, varied unconventionality… generally in the spirit of keeping things interesting, unusual and of course, um…FUN!
What a hoot to have been able to originally share these in real time with listeners around the world. far out, man. Thanks for tuning in if you did! …and especially thanks to those who sent in their wonderful sounds to play and incorporate.
Among the recurring members of the s&S show crew:
While the regular LIVE Sunday shows have ceased for now, you’ll find newly composed and constructed regionally focused installments showing up here as well – as they’re created from the PR China (westside!) by FC over the coming year plus.
Oh hell, maybe even some other delectable stuff. Do check in!

3 Musical Boxes… (guest shows)
webcast: February 26th, 2006
This night, we handed off the web-air-waves to 3 remote associates who offered their own assemblages of music & sound.
Audio glue provided by your studio host.
…from a rosey pink lemonade to a deep balsamic burgundy:
hour 1: Otis Fodder’s: Friendly Persuasion
hour 2: Headphoner & the Nurse: Village
hour 3: Gentress MyRRh’s: Cavalcade of Absurdity #6
running time: 3 hours

T’was that time of the month, and there wasn’t a single Otis to be found!
But, ah! An audio telegram arrived to inform that while staying in the luxury Comfortstand executive condo, a sudden slip in the shower caused the poor guy to tumble out of the bathroom window and plunge 3 floors right onto a passing banana cart.
So, in lieu of a show WITH Fodder, presented was a show FOR Fodder – as a web radio was sure to be on just beyond the length of his full plaster leg cast -
we presented essential get well material and safety tips in the:
“Radio Hoof Home Repair Kit”
The Man of the hour WAS able to participate in the show however, by emailing his commentary to the studio as the show progressed where one of our interns (some kid named Stephen Hawking) read them live on the air.
Many thanks to the good folks who helped out with this “get well” card with your voices & words: Katyana, Splogman, Chenard Walcker, Headphoner & the Nurse, The Pill Bug, George Washington, Ninah, Das, Shirley & Spinoza (duh), Harlan, Bevin Blectum & jLesser, The Tod.
Otey says: “thanky thanky, y’all!”

LIVE: Some Damn Intern (s&S)
No….Royal Oakland Gramophone Company passed for the evening – apparently the caravan leader was poisoned while en route from 1905 to the contemporary timeslot. ROGC will re-emerge with the promised episode May 15th. Instead, SOME DAMN INTERN hand picked, played and mixed music and sounds for your enjoyment. Satan dropped in to the studio for a bit (just to mooch off our chips and extra spicy salsa), but we were ready – and neutralized his sassy, evil ass with handfuls of sonic baking soda.
….then, at 10pm
Headphoner & The Nurse: Village (repeat)
